ATM machines are more common now and will give you cash in Rupiah only.
US Dollar Notes:

Better rate of exchange is given to USD 100 notes. Bills lower than USD 20 may not be exchanged.
LOCAL SIM CARDS are available at the airport or in Ubud offering Data packages that may be less expensive than data roaming package from your home country.
There are also new E-SIMs which means no need to rake out your own Sim Card.

Climate
Located approx eight degrees south of the equator, Bali enjoys a tropical climate without the pressures of strong typhoons or cyclones further north or south. Travel to Bali at any time is nice. Weather patterns are becoming more unpredictable these years, but the rainy season is traditionally between December-March. The drier and less humid time is between June-September.
